The Municipal Tourist Office has announced the first walking route on the spring calendar, “El Cordel de Rotas,” on Sunday May 20.
The walk will start from the Joyman Cafeteria at 8.30am. A free bus will take walkers to the River Quipar, Cortijo de Los Panes or the beginning of the route.
Walkers are expected to be back in Calasparra by 12 midday.
Graded as easy the route is approximately 11.2k and takes in the old goat trail, ZEPA bird protection zones such as the Sierra del Molino, the Quipar reservoir and the Cagitan plains, returning along the banks of the river Argos.
