You may have thought it was hot but the Met Office has news for you: that wasn´t a heatwave!!
According to the The Met Office the first heatwave of the summer is heading our way for Wednesday and Thursday of next week when temperatures are expected to pass 40 degrees centigrade.
After a delightful cool spell thermometers are expected to rise from Tuesday until Friday next week. The hottest days are likely to be mid week with maximums of 41 degrees.
For the rest of the week predictions are between 37 and 41 degrees until Friday when temperatures will drop to an average of 35.
The best ways to combat the suffocating heat, according to the experts, is to avoid any form of physical exercise during the hottest hours of the day, rest and drink plenty of water. Light meals are recommended.
If you have to go out wear light, cotton clothing, a hat, sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen. However, you should avoid exposure between the hours between 12 midday and seven in the evening when the sun is at its hottest.
You live in Spain!!! Try a siesta and then enjoy an outing or do your shopping in the cool of the evening.
