Last Tuesday, on International Workers’ Day, the United Left officially opened their first “seat” in Calasparra in the history of the party.
This workplace is an important step for the party who won a seat and the casting vote in the last municipal elections.
Ricardo García, local coordinator and local councilor at the Town Hall noted with gratitude the “massive presence of party workers and sympathizers” at the event and encouraged everyone to “make the party even bigger now that it was tremendously necessary during these times in Calasparra, in the North West region of Murcia and a nationally.”
During the open day, which allowed the public to familiarise themselves with the party’s new space, a special tribute was paid to three of the oldest female founding members “who had laid the foundations for the future of the party,” said Ricardo Garcia.
