There were dramatic scenes yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, as firemen from Caravaca staged the spectacular rescue of an elderly dog stranded on the rocks below the castle. (Flick álbum below. Photos by the local police).
It was two in the afternoon when the local police received a call from a resident reporting the plight of the large, elderly Mastiff.
Local police believe it´s posible the animal had been stranded for at least two days.
Finally, firemen from Caravaca carried out a delicate opedration to rescue the frightened, nervous dog which was later taken in by CERECO stray animal rescue.
