The local farmers association, the Communidad de Regantes del Argos, has publikhed the date for the final vote on the modernization of the irrigation systems here in Calasparra as May 29.
The Association is calling on members to attend the event and vote in favour of the new drop irrigation system, which is 75% funded by EU funds and which it is claimed, will «save local agriculture.»
All members of the association can vote but will need to bring ID to the meeting which will be held in the Municipal Auditorium at 6pm.
