The Town Hall is calling on everyone to join in the Christmas spirit on Christmas Eve in Calasparra and donate a toy or non perishable food to Caritas or the Red Cross and fill the sky with flying lanterns.
Anyone making a donation will be given a Chinese paper lantern to fly in the night sky to demonstrate that the charitable spirit of Christmas is alive and well in Calasparra.
“Let´s fill the sky with lanterns and show the world that Calasparra cares,” says acting Mayor José Vélez.
Come to the Convent Square at 6pm on December 24, near the Rice Growers Fountain, to make your donation and fly your own lantern.
