The 180,000 euros set aside for the fiestas in Calasparra this year will be credited to the funds for assistance and expenses of Covid-19, the full Town Hall Council Meeting decided on Monday.
Some 32,800 euros was also set aside for building and renovation works on municipal buildings.
The Head of the local Department of Housing, Antonio Merino, also emphasized the Town Hall´s commitment to introduce new measures to help the bars and restaurants, the tourism sector and local shops and services to mitigate the current crisis situation.
The fiestas and “encierros” in Calasparra were cancelled this year due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
