The organization, Conquistando Escalones (Conquering Steps) is organizing a charity fun run in Valentin on June 25 to raise funds for the treatment of Victor, a local child who suffers from a rare illness, and to raise funds for research into Muscular Dystrophy.
The fun run “of coloiurs” called the 1st Terracotta Colors Run’, is based on the traditional “Holi, an old Hindu festival held after the March full moon.
The run starts at 11am with music and the distribution of “holi,” the powdered colours which are thrown during the festival.
You can sign on through the webpage of the Federación de Atletismo de la Región de Murcia www.famuc.es. The fee is 10 euros and two euros for children under 8. Inscription finishes on June 20.
