The first
ever official female football match in Calasparra will be on Saturday in the
Caverina.
It will be an historic moment for local sport as the junior female football
team, made up of three youngest categories, takes to the field against SMX
Athletic Club Murcia.
Tonight, Wednesday, the team play a friendly against way against Moratalla.
The Coordinator of the Municipal Sports Schools, Jose Hernandez, told Radio
Calasparra:”We are very excited about this season´s project with, for the first
time, 26 female players, 13 of them already members of the Federation. Our
objective is more to consolidate the teams and help them grow as athletes
rather than get results.”
The match starts at 12.15pm on Saturday.
