Last Friday the local police and the Guardia Civil arrested eight members of the same family clan for trafficking drugs in Calasparra.
The investigation began months ago when officers discovered that one of the detained, who had numerous previous convictions and had been detained previously in a drugs raid, had opened another point of sale for drugs in Calasparra.
Finally, following three months of investigations, three houses belonging to the family were searched and officers found half a kilo of cocaine; various doses of marijuana and speed; a Taser gun; and a hunting trap place in the access to one of the houses.
An amount of cash was also found at this address was and all the utensils etc necessary for preparing and distributing drugs.
After appearing before magistrates in Caravaca three of those arrested were sent to prison immediately.
