The Murcia region starts the week asphyxiated by the summer heat and with an extreme risk of forest fires.
It is prohibited to light a fire in the «monte»or less than 400 metres from forest terrain.
You must not throw rubbisah or cigarette ends.
If you see smoke call 112 emergency services immediately.
According to the Met Office the areas with extreme risk of fire include the North West part of the region, that includes Calasparra., and everyone is asked to avoid any activity which could result in an outbreak of fire.
Temperatures are likely to hover around the 40´s here in Calasparra by mid morning. Readers are advised to shut blinds and windows and use fans or air conditioning to keep the house cool.
Remember to avoid any physical activity outside durung the heat of the day and stay in the shade as much as possible.
Drink plenty of water, avoid abusing alcohol, drinks with caffiene and sugar and eat light meals.
Use sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat and light clothing.
