International Book Day will be marked by a series of events in Calasparra including an exhibition of primary school work, a classical concert and an organized visit to “Quijote country”.
The events have been organised by the Department of Culture at the Town Hall.
An exhibition of primary school children´s work opened in the Casa de la Cultura last Friday.
Local writer, Agustin Robles Requesa launches his book “Between Two Dictators: Republican Calasparra” at the Municipal Auditorium at 8.30pm on Monday April 23.
“Women Who Changed Life” is the topic of a literary evening at the Casa de la Cultura on Tuesday April 24 at 8.30pm. The prize for the Library Logo Competition will be presented during the event.
On Wednesday the Galindo Competition offer a concert in the spring programme featuring the orchestra from the Superior Music Conservatory in Murcia, “Manual Massotti.” The concert is in the Municipal Auditorium, entrance is free of charge and it begins at 7pm.
On Friday April 27 the public library will have a stall in the Plaza de la Corredera as part of the “Library in the Streets” programme.
The second part of the “Walking route and visit to Quijote Country 2012” has been organized for Saturday April 28. The price, 25€, includes food. Inscription at the Caja Murcia.
The dance group, Alicia, from Cieza and Moratalla will offer a performance on Saturday 28 at 9pm in the Municipal Auditorium. Entrance is 3€. Tickets from the Town Hall or the butchers at the Cuatro Esquinas.
