Popular former mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez Fernandez will return to his home town to make the opening speech in the 2020 Fiestas at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope.
He resigned as mayor earlier this year to take the post of Government Delegate to the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
Velez is a staunch supporter and close ally of President, Pedro Sanchez.
