Electricity companies in Spain are appealing against the 61 million euro sanction imposed by the National Competition Commission for price fixing and for blocking the free market.
The energy companies, which have until today, June 13, to appeal against the sanction, are the association Unesa and the companies Endesa, Iberbrola and HC Energia.
The 61 million euro fine is the second largest imposed by the Competition Commission: the largest, 120.7 million euros, being set against the insurance sector in 2009.
