A bright light signal (señal luminosa) can be used to warn that your vehicle is stationary due to an emergency from July 1 instead of the orange warning triangle.
The triangle will be completely replaced by the bright light signal which must be geolocatable (the process or technique of identifying the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet) by 2026.
Some 32 people have died after being run over at the side of the road during a traffic incident since 2019.
