The average price of electricity will fall by 21.8% tomorrow, Thursday, to 395.75 euros.
This follows three days of consecutive rises seeing the price break the 400 euros barrier.
Despite this fall electricity costs nine times more than in March last year.
The EU is currently considering a package of measures to combat rises in fuel prices.
