The organisers of the Easter Week celebrations, the religious brotherhoods of Calasparra, have cancelled the Easter Sunday procession today due to weather forecasters predicting more heavy rain.
The only events on the Easter calendar that have taken place this year are the Re-enactment of the Arrest of Jesus in the Olive Garden and the pìlgrimage to Calasparra with the statue of Ecce Homo last week.
Despite the predictions the rain has held off throughout the morning of Easter Sunday but Nexonr has not received any news of today´s procession being held.
