The parish priest, José Manuel Martínez Rosique, has told Radio Calasparra that thieves attempted to enter St Peter´s Church and damaged the three doors of the building.
The priest underlined that the theives were unable to enter the church and that no valuables were kept on the property.
The doors are being repaired and an alarm system will be installed.
