“The lack of sensitivity towards animals is ever more real today, and to illustrate this we report an incident which occurred last Saturday in Calasparra, Murcia, when animal rescue volunteers managed to rescue an Alsation puppy who had been put into a plastic bag and thrown into the river.
Volunteers managed to get the animnal out of the water but it was dying and showing signs of malnutrition and hypothermia. Moreover, the puppy showed obvious signs of cruelty throughout his short life.
The vets at the emergency services feared for the worst, as the puppy was in a very poor condition and showed no signs of improvement. However, finally on Monday he ate a little and managed to stand up, albeit trembling.
Baptized “Lucky” he is living up to his name. His condition continues to improve, and he is beginning to walk, although he remains underfed and frightened.”
