DO NOT THROW AWAY A DROP OF OIL CAMPAIGN

Calasparra Town Hall has doubled the number of orange containers and improved the image of the old ones as part of a campaign to encourage us to recycle used cooking oil.
There is also a free distribution of funnels to facilitate bottling used oil, in the Emplyment Centre as well as an awarenes campaign in schools and in public places.
The aim of the camapign is that residents find the recycling bins near to where they live and that they are aware of the benefits of recycling oil as part of the circular economy when  it is transformed into biodiesel.
Tipping used cooking oil into the sink contaminates, causes blockages and wastes a natural resource.
Look out for the orange bins. Your used oil should be poured into a plastic container with a lid and placed in the orange rcycling bins.
It is possible to recycle any used cooking oil from sunflower to olive oil.
