Most of us slept through it but, according to the National Geographic Institute, there was an earthquake in central Calasparra at 5.37 on Thursday morning.
The quake, 1.5 on the Richter scale, had it’s epicenter in the south east of Calasparra and was 11 kilometres below the surface.
No personal or material damage was reported although many residents were, apparently, frightened by the earth moving.
