A festival of colour, joy, and tradition which took the audience on a jhourney around the world without moving them out of their seats.
The XIX International Festival of Folklore Villa de Calasparra last night included performances from Indonesia, Paraguay and, of course, Calasparra.
The Rondalla OAPs music and dance group, representing Calasparra, opened the evening´s entertainment.
The most exotic offering came from group, Agsana Prabala of Indonesia, who gave a hypnotic performance in beautiful ornamental costumes.
To complete the evening the group, República Saraki, from Paraguay brought colour and joy and an original dance during which the female dancers balanced pitchers on their heads.
The Head of the local Department of Culture, Teresa Garcia, presented the participants with a souvenir of Calasparra at the end of the event.
