The weather forecast may be a party
pooper for those expecting to see the lunar eclipse on Friday, tomorrow, which,
weather permitting should be visible from all over the region.
The eclipse will begin as the sunset tomorrow at exactly 6pm. However, maximum
darkness is the best time to see the eclipse and this will be at around 8.30pm.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon travels through the earth´s shadow as opposed
to a solar eclipse when the earth enters the moon´s shadow.
The eclipse will remain visible to the naked eye until 10.30pm although star gazers
may have to contend with some clouds.
