The Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Stockbreeders and Fish has announced 12 projects, including Calasparra, to reduce energy consumption and the carbon footprint, by installing solar panels at sewage treatment plants.
In total the cost of the projects is 2,988,053 euros and it is estimated the annual savings could be from 35 to 40%.
The projects will be presented to funders through the Institute for Diversification and Energy Savings today. The Ministry seeks some 80% of the estimated cost in the form of grants.
