Don´t expect a slap up meal at this solidarity event organised by the local Catholic church every year in aid of the charit, Manos Unidos.
The Hunger Dinner (Ceña del Hambre”) is an event celebrated all over the world to raise funds for the poorest peoples on the planet.
The “meal” is an austere affair, bread with olive oil and tomato with water to drink.
Tickets cost 5 euros each and are available to various shops and bars in Calasparra.
During the dinner, on March 24 in the Salones La Daya at 8.30pm, there will be various raffles and fund raising activities.
