According to Cáritas Parroquial Calasparra there are more families than ever in Calasparra in need of help to pass a “Christmas with Dignity” this year.
The charity are appealing for donations of products such as chocolate poder, jam and preserves, which last a long time and “provide a little something special” over Christmas.
“These types of products have become a luxury for many families,” the Director of Caritas, Josefina Miranda, told listeners on Radio Calasparra.
She also appealed for clothing, particularly children´s clothing such as socks, leotards and underwear; household products such as sheets and blankets, as well as shampoo, gels and cleaning products.
Donations can be brought to the Caritas office Monday and Wednesdays between 5 and 7pm or through the parish. Any of the 12 Caritas volunteers can accept or collect donations.
