During the opening speech of Semana Santa ( Easter Week) in the Municipal Auditorium, this year´s speaker, Joaquina Sola Heredia, called don local residents to celebrate Easter in Calasparra with pride.
Heredia was the President of the Superior Lobby of the religious brotherhoods in Calasparra from 2001 to 2005.
The “brother” of the year was presented to Miguel Ángel Zapata, of the Samaritana Brotherhood for the last 30 years.
At the end of the ceremony Flamenco Singer, Curro Piñana, was accompanied on guitar by Pepe Piñana.
