Some 15 youngsters from Calasparra took part in the Regional Schools Orienteering Trials in La Alcayna on Saturday and did the town proud!!
Pupils from the Emilio Pérez Piñero High School, Los Molinos and Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza Primaries were accompanied by the Director of Los Molinos, María Jesús Egea, and PE teachers, José Antonio Juliá, of Los Molinos, and Sebastián Moreno, of La Esperanza.
The best results were from the regional champion, Sergio Montoya, who came in second in the Junior Males with a time of 25.17: Lucía López, second in Infants with a time of 17.46; and third place in the team events, Lucía, with Alba Godinez Martínez, Carmen Martínez Lozano and Margarita Pérez Montero, from La Esperanza.
