A Calasparrian, aged between 30 to 40 years old, died at the wheel of his car at the 40 kilometre point of the RM- 714, Calasparra – Venta de Olivas road, early this morning.
The emergency services were called to the scene but were unable to revive the driver who was trapped in his vehicle.
A passing motorist alerted the emergency services 112 around 2.45am. He reported seeing a badly damaged vehicle which had crashed off the road. The caller did not witness the accident.
