We are very sorry to report the death of three year old Paola.
Known as “pequeña Paola” this tiny Calasparrian lost her valiant fight against a rare and incurable condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, yesterday, Tuesday. Her funeral was held today at 5.30pm in the Merced Church.
Paola touched the hearts of all the residents of Calasparra and there were several campaigns and many fund raising events to raise money for investigations into this rare disease.
Paola was diagnosed at three months old and celebrated her third birthday in January.
Our deepest sympathies go to all her family and friends.
