Yesterday, November 20, was the anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Children´s Rights signed in 1959, and a multitude of young people and children congregated outside Calasparra Town Hall for the reading of the Manifesto by membes of the local Committe of Children and Adolescents.
The Mayoress, Teresa Garcia, urged the Committee to continue its » great work which so enriched our town» and which had contributed to Calasparra being recognized by UNICEF as «child friendly» in 2018
Apart from reading the manifesto other activities for the younger members of our town, which reaffirmed the commitment to the defence of all children, were organized by Maria Teresa Sanchez, Head of Education, and Alicia Martinez,
