On the first day of sunshine for nearly a week hundreds of residents filled the streets to welcome the statue of Our Lady of Hope, brought down from the Sanctuary during the traditional spring pilgrimage.
The statues of the Patron Saints of Calasparra, St Abdón and Senen, accompanied by the Association Band of Music, were carried to the Caverina Football Stadium for the “encuentro” (meeting).
The statue of Our Lady of Hope will remain in St Peter´s Church during May. The full programme of activities and ceremonies was published earlier this week on this webpage.
