The Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, is representing the
town and underlining his commitment to the restoration of local rivers as he
attends the Iberian Congress of Fluvial Restoration in the Congress Centre Víctor
Villegas in Murcia this week.
This third edition of the
Congress aims to be a forum of experts in restoration and fluvial management on
the Iberian Penisular and the planning of water resources.
Calasparra Town Hall has already participated in the organisation of the event
as a member of the LIFE + RIPISILVANATURA Project.
On Friday members will spend a day in the country visiting, among other sites,
the River Segura as it flows through Calasparra.
