Although the weather forcast is not favourable for this evening, as the Met Office issues another Yellow Weather Warning for storms, Calasparra is getting ready for the eclipse.
The weather warning for storms is in effect from 2pm to 8pm today and the eclipse will reach its maximum at 8.35pm!!
However, as we have seen in the past few days Calasparra tends to have its own weather system with good and bad effects: several warnings for storms have, in the end, not affected Calasparra and then on Monday Calasparra was the worst hit town in the North West region of Murcia.
Calasparra Town Hall has opted for optimism and has issued the following advice:
«This Wednesday August 12 we can enjoy one of the eagerly awaited astronomic phenomena of the year: the eclipse solar will be partially visible in the Murcia region.
In our area the eclipse will begin at approximately 7.41pm and reach its maximum at 8.35pm followed by the sunset.
Only use approved glasses (ISO 12312-2 2015) to view the eclipse
If you are travelling plan your journey and follow the indications of the Local Police, Forestry Agents and Civil Protection.
Do not go to any natural spaces or carry out activities that could cause a fire.
Remember circulation on forestry trails and paths is prohibited due to the crowds expected to watch the eclipse.

The Region has launched massive operation with 500 extra officers to control traffic and enforce these restrictions. With two major fires still burning out of control in Spain these restrictions have been imposed to keep us all safe.
