Following a meeting with the Head of Refuse Collection for the region, the Mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez , has announced that residents must do more to recycle their rubbish.
The Mayor discussed the problems of rubbish collection at the meeting and sought cheaper rates for the service. According to official sources the Head of the regional Refuse Collection Services was “sympathetic” to the Mayor´s request.
There will be a local campaign to encourage residents to recycle more.
