Local products from Calasparra, including the prize winning Villa Vieja Cheese and the famous Calasparra Rice, form part of the 35th edition of the European Show of Delicatessen Products in Madrid.
Local councillors, Antonio Merino and Juan Jose Lopez attended the event to promote local products.
The Salon Gourmet Show is held in the IFEMA fairground in Madrid and includes an intense programme of activities including competitions, tasting, presentations, show cooking, lectures etc.
Calasparra rice, as ever, is one of the man protagonists of the Murcia region stall and the Villa Vieja Cheese with wine has already won the second prize for “Cheese from Young Goats”(see Nexonr entry yesterday).
