Calasparra has won an award in the regional Towns of the Year Competition, organised by the Opinion regional newpaper.
Yesterday the Mayoress, Teresa Garcia, recieved the «Gastronomic Town of the Year Award 2026» for the culinary projection of the Calasparra, the identity of its food, the flavour of its products and the work and effort that, generation by generation, local farmers, hotel and catering businesses and residents have contributed to make gastronomy one of the significant components of the identity of the town.
