By mid January three poor results saw Calasparra FC slip from mid table ninth down five places to 16th in the league table.
The first game at home in January and Calasparra lost heavily to 12th place Pinatar and then went three down to mighty Cartegena B, currently third and hot on the heels of the joint leaders Mar Meno and Real Murcia B with just one point in it.
The home team fared no better away to 13th place Santomera where they lost 1 – 0.
Calasparra are in 16th place with 26 points. The current joint leaders, Mar Meno and Real Murcia B, have 47 points each. Cartagena in third place is just one point behind and Costa Calida one point behind them in a hard fought and exciting top of the table dogfight.
