Thousands of homes in Spain, including Cehegin and Caravaca, suffered a cut in the electricity supply yesterday, Sunday, at 5.15pm.
Luckily, Calasparra escaped this power cut in the middle of the hottest hours of the hottest day which was, apparently, the result of an incident with hydroplane and high tension cables in France, resulting in a temporary disconnection of supply to Spain and the rest of Europe.
According to Ibredrola the power cut lasted 30 minutes but comments on the social networks claim homes in Cehegin and Caravaca were without power for more than an hour.
