CALASPARRA – COMITTED TO QUALITY TOURISM

The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia has recieved a diploma recognizing Calasparra as part of SICTED (the System of Quality Tourism in Spain) from the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosa Ana Morillo Rodríguez, and  a specific special mention as a «novel» destination within  the project.
The presentation was made at the National Tourism Show in Madrid, FITUR, where Calasparra is featured on the Murcia region stand.
Other areas recognized for the first time by the Project this year are: Archena, Bullas, Fortuna, Cieza, Jumilla, Los Alcázares, Alcantarilla, Chiclana de la Frontera, Motril, Rota, Torrijos, Comarca de Almadén “Monte Sur”, Sigüenza, La Adrada, Vall D’Albaida, Maestrat, ànima interior, La Ribera del Xúquer and Ourense Termal.
During 2022 some businesses and institutions in Calasparra have already formed part of the project and have their «quality» certificate. They are the Tourist Office, the Archeological Musuem, Zapatería Traspié, Cañón y Cañón and Qalat Naturaleza y Aventura.
Candidates awaiting incorporation this year are the Restaurante Santuario Ntra. Sra. de la Esperanza, Cueva del Puerto, Restaurante Bar Cantero, Restaurante Casino and Arrocería Titanium.
