The Day of the Magic Kings, January 6, was a day of double celebrations in Calasparra as 100 tenth tickets hiolders share in the “Niño” lottery second prize of seven an a half million euros.
The owner of the lottery shop, Esperanza Navarro Marín, where the winning ticket was sold, told Radio Calasparra: “We were watching the lottery draw on television and when they announced Calasparra the telephone started ringing and it hasn´t stopped since.”
In 2009 the same shop, in the Convent Square, sold tickets for a 9 million euro win.
On the streets and in the bars those who won shared celebrations with those who were delighted they had won.

The Mayor of Calasparra, José Velez, said he was so delighted that it “was as if I have won myself.” He added that the win was good news for all of Calasparra.
