CALASPARRA ABANDONED BY THE REGION SAYS PSOE

The budget of the regional autonomous government of Murcia leaves Calasparra out in the cold, the Mayoress of Calasparra Teresa Garcia has told a press conference.
Accompanied by the regional deputy, Antonio Jose Espin, and the spokesperson for the Local Authority, Antonio Merino, she explained that the budget does not respond to the “necessitites of social or terrotorial cohesion, or problems with unemployment or the development of our municipal area in order to generate employment.”
The regional government has allocated 20 euros per habitiant of Calasparra as opposed to the regional average of 260 euros.
“They don´t let us grow but we will not give in until the Region invests in our town in the way we deserve,” said Antonio Merino. “In our amendments we have carried out a serious and rigorous exercise in order to vindicate all the necessititess that the Murcia region have.”
The Mayoress said: “Calasparra is prepared to faces important challenges but we need the support of CARM and we demand that the regional budget provides this help.”
The PSOE have presented the following amendments to the budget:
The repositioning of the general South East manifold with a connection to the treatment plant in Calasparra and the Los Madriles and the Los Marines manifolds (3,500,000 euros)
Reformation work at the Rice Musuem (94,370 euros)
Support for the the utovia del Norte (Ventas Reales to Caravaca) and the Intensive Care Unit at the Caravaca Hospital.
