The Caixa Bank and the local Red Cross have signed an agreement confirming a a 12,000 euro grant for the voluntary organisation´s work with elderly people in Calasparra.
The Red Cross also announced a scheme to help families buy school materials. Anyone interested should go to the Red Cross headquarters between 5 and 8pm.
The campaign to buy milkk for needy families in Calasparra
continues through the ticket scheme. Tickets are available at one euro from local shops and businesses.
The organisation has also announced new opening hours for the office in the OAPs Club: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.30am to 1pm and Tuesdays at the headquarters from 5 to 8pm.
There will also be a Red Cross flag day on October 11.
