According to information published on the CAB Spain website the recent regulation of foreigners who have been in Spain for five months continuously before December 31, 2025 applies to ALL foreigners including UK citizens.
The official extract from the Spanish Government is:
“The process will be directed to ALL foreigners who are in Spain before 31 December 2025 and who prove that they have remained at least five months continuously in our country at the time of submitting the application. These circumstances may be accredited with any public or private document, or a combination of both.
This will not need parliamentary approval as it will be done via modification to the royal decree for foreigners to speed up the process.»
