The local Red Cross are appealing to residents who are not going to or are unable to attend the local theatre group, Alegria´s performance of “Bajarse al Moro,” in the Municipal Auditorium on Sunday June 16 at 8.30pm, to buy «zero» tickets.
The fund raising event aims to help replenish the stockroom of the food bank in Calasparra whichis currently empty.
The Red Cross recently issued a statement on Radio Calasparra underlining the gravity of the crisis and the scarce resources the charity has to meet the needs of local people.
Tickets cost 3 euros and are available from the Red Cross in the OAPs Club during the morning and at the HQ in the afternoon. They are also being sold in various local business and shops.
Donations of non perishable foodstuffs can also be made at the Red Cross or at Caritas.
