The information on social media warning that drivers must carry breathalyser kits in their vehicles is false.
The notices stating that this is now a mandatory requirement in Spain for drivers to carry breathalyzer kits are false and are sponsored by companies manufacturing the kits who hope readers will believe the notices and purchase direct from them.
There was a law making the kits obligatory in France but this has now been postponed indefinitely.
To be clear there is no such legal requirement in Spain.
