The younger members of the town were able to take part in the “Vereda” today, Sunday, in the last encierro of the week
The Vereda, which has become a traditional part of the September fiestas, involves cows not bulls, being shepherded into Calasparra by riders on horseback.
Younger members of the community are able to run with the cows and a few suffered blows and bruises as the animals made their way from Monte San Miguel to the bull ring.
