The long awaited rain made gathering the vegetables from the garden this morning a little more complicated than usual and the ecological stall has opened late!
The vegetable garden is like a mud bath and all the vegetables had to be thoroughly washed before they could be put on sale today. However, eventually we have spinach, broccoli, Swedes, Swiss Chard, spring garlic and our own SALDi ecological olive oil for sale this morning.
As always we ask shoppers to make the tall their first port of call to avoid disappointment as there is a limited supply of produce.
Our olive oil, produced exclusively from our own orchards and allowed to settle naturally rather than being filtered, is a new experience for most of us although the older Calasparrians say it is a real blast from the past. It costs 10€ for a two litre bottle.
