BEACHES IN MURCIA WHERE DOGS ARE WELCOME

When you are planning a day out or short break  and want to take your dog with you its nice to know that in the Murcia region there are beaches where your pet is welcome, such as in Mazarron, Aguilas, Cartagena, Lorca and Los Alcacazares.
Mazarron Town Hall has adapted three of its eight beaches for dogs. They are Playa de Cobaticas, which has dificult access but good views;  the Playa Sierra de las Moreras, which is semi-urban; and the Gachero, an urban, stoney beach with very few bathers.
Aquilas has recently opened a semi-urban beach to dogs, the Cañada del Negro and the Cala De Mijo, located near the Playa de Matalentisco.
The Playa de la Calera, in Cartagena, was opened last year and is a far distance from the town centre.
Natural surroundings at the Playa Larga, en Garrobillo, Lorca, with plenty of natural areas to enjoy with your pet.
The first beach adapted for dogs on the Mar Menor is La Playa de las Salinas, in Los Alcázares, and forms part of a grand natural park.
As always vistors to these areas are asked to respect a series of norms: to control your pet at all times; to clean up excrement; to keep you pet up to date with vaccinations; and not bother other users.
Nexonr hopes this information is useful and wishes our fellow dog owners Happy Summer Outings.
