This Saturday, December 16, ANSE, the Naturalist Association of the South East, is organising a workshop to build refuges for bats in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope from 10.30am to 1.1.30pm.
The workshop is free of charge and you can sign on at murcielagos@asociacionanse.org
ANSE organizes these types of workshops regularly for volunteers interested in protecting our natural resources and wildlife.
Encouraging the bat population by providing safe and adequate nesting boxes is also part of the campaign to keep the mosquito population down as one bat eats 1,200 mosquitos per hour.
